Producing plastics from renewable raw materials is nothing new, but in spite of this the overall proportion of biopolymers is still relatively low. Swiss designer Beat Karrer has for some time now been researching new processing methods which are aimed at increasing the prospects for the use of biodegradable plastics on an industrial scale.
